La Ley 1/2025 tiene como principales objetivos combatir el desperdicio alimentario, para lo que establece metas cuantificables, que consisten en prevenir y con ello mejorar la eficiencia del sistema alimentario, y favorecer la bioeconomía circular y el aprovechamiento integral de los recursos y subproductos. Desde una perspectiva más amplia busca combatir el cambio climático mediante un uso más eficiente de los recursos vinculados al sector primario. Además, la Ley modifica 18 normas a lo largo de su articulado, con contenido heterogéneo y que sobrepasa ampliamente el contenido, finalidades y cohesión de la norma analizada; así, relacionado con el ámbito jurídico laboral, modifica el sistema de medición de la representatividad de las organizaciones agrarias de ámbito estatal y amplía la duración de una de las modalidades del contrato temporal por circunstancias de la producción únicamente para las empresas vinculadas al sector agrario y agroalimentario.
The main objectives of Law 1/2025 are to combat food waste, for which it establishes quantifiable targets consisting of prevention and thereby improving the efficiency of the food system, and promoting the circular bioeconomy and the comprehensive use of resources and by-products. From a different perspective, it seeks to combat climate change through more efficient use of resources linked to the primary sector. In addition, the Law modifies 18 regulations, with heterogeneous content that goes far beyond the content, purposes and cohesion of the regulation analysed. Thus, in relation to the legal field of labour, it modifies the system for measuring the representativeness of agricultural organisations at the state level and extends the duration of one of the types of temporary contract due to production circumstances only for companies linked to the agricultural and agri-food sector.
