Objective of the paper is to discuss the traditional separation of the agricul-tural work regulation also on the light of the present workforce changes amongstthe different productíve sectors. Moreover, on the basis of the recent develop-ments tacking place in the Italian legislation, the author analyses the particular connections between the social security system and the labour market rules. The difficult analysis shows that today it is possible a modem and different treatment of this type of work: in the author's opinion, the tradítional separations, based on the nature of the activity, in the present historical period are no longer justified.
