Este trabajo intenta sintetizar algunos de los principales aspectos del acuerdo UE-MERCOSUR desde una perspectiva económica, enfatizando el potencial para incrementos sustanciales en PIB, comercio, inversión y empleo, junto con compromisos ambientales que buscan un crecimiento sostenible y equilibrado entre ambas regiones. Para ello, se utiliza como fuente principal los resultados de estudios técnicos realizados por diversos organismos internacionales, entre ellos la OCDE, la CEPAL, el Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF), la Comisión Europea y el Banco Mundial.
This paper attempts to synthesize some of the main aspects of the EU-MERCOSUR agreement from an economic perspective, emphasizing the potential for substantial increases in GDP, trade, investment, and employment, along with environmental commitments aimed at sustainable and balanced growth between both regions. To this end, it primarily uses the results of technical studies conducted by various international organizations, including the OECD, ECLAC, the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), the European Commission, and the World Bank.
