    Las islas han sido unidades de observación y análisis en la Historia de la Antropología. El presente texto muestra a través de dos autores centrales en la Antropología Británica, Alfred R. Radcliffe-Brown y Bronislaw Malinowski, como ellos tomaron posiciones teóricas funcionalistas en el contexto colonial, a partir de dos grupos de islas, las Andaman y las Trobriand, respectivamente.

    The Islands have been observation and analysis units in the History of Anthropology. This text shows through two authors of the Britannic Anthropology, A.R. Radclife-Brown and B. Malinowski, theirs functionalist theoretical positions in the colonial context, in two groups of islands, The Andaman and The Trobriand, respectively.
