Analizamos anteriormente en esta misma revista el tema de la especial unión del Logos de Dios y el hombre Jesús. En el presente estudio nos centramos en resaltar la “Humanidad de Jesús” conforme la bella y clara doctrina de San Agustín. Incluimos una referencia a Fray Luis de León por su magistral estilo literario y profundo conocimiento del hebreo. En concreto para estas páginas hemos recogido todas las citas del Nuevo Testamento y de algún otro escrito de la misma época en donde se designa a Jesús o por su nombre o por la denominación griega de la palabra hebrea Mesías que va evolucionando de forma que se convierte en “Jesucristo”. Las citas que hemos detectado ascienden a más de 1.200. ¿Sugiere algún especial significado la transformación del nombre propio de Jesús? ¿Qué tenemos en mente en la actualidad cuando empleamos alguna de estas tres denominaciones?
In this review we exposed the theme of the special union of the Logos of God and the man Jesus. In the present study we focus on highlighting the “Humanity of Jesus” according to the beautiful and clear doctrine of St. Augustine.
We include a reference to Fray Luis de Leon for his masterful literary style and deep knowledge of Hebrew. Specifically in these pages we have collected all the quotations from the New Testament and some other writings of the same period where Jesus is designated either by his name or by the Greek denomination of the Hebrew word Messiah and the word Jesus Christ is formed. The quotations we have found amount to more than 1,200. Does the evolution of the proper name of Jesus suggest any significance? What do we have in mind today when we use any of these three denominations?
