El propósito del artículo es examinar, en el marco de las vicisitudes del pragmatismo clásico, la experiencia y la acción como continuos del pensamiento; se pretende también esclarecer estas dos nociones en los diferentes pragmatismos, los cuales suscitan concepciones distintas del interés de dicha filosofía. El texto está dividido en tres partes, en la primera se presenta la herencia kantiana, se hace énfasis en la idea de autodeterminación a través de la acción, en la segunda se identifican algunas disputas académicas, con el fin de hacer una crítica a las fantasías lógicas derivadas de razonamientos sin situaciones, en el tercer y último apartado se analiza la experiencia y la acción en correspondencia con el pensamiento y la creencia, se atiende en este apartado aspectos del pragmatismo jamesiano.
The purpose of the article is to examine, within the framework of the vicissi-tudes of classical pragmatism, experience and action as continuums of thought; it is also intended to clarify these two notions in the different pragmatisms, which give rise to different conceptions of the interest of this philosophy. The text is divided into three parts, in the first part the Kantian heritage is present-ed, emphasizing the idea of self-determination through action, in the second part some academic disputes are identified, with the purpose of criticizing the logical fantasies derived from reasoning without situations, in the third and last section, experience and action are analyzed in correspondence with thought and belief, and aspects of Jamesian pragmatism are dealt with in this section.
