El artículo examina la policrisis ecosocial y la insostenibilidad del modo de vida dominante, repasa la teoría del modo de vida imperial y aplica todo ello a la crisis de la turistificación actual. Finalmente, sugiere nuevas vías para abordar el problema y crear otras formas de turismo compatibles con la salud de los ecosistemas, las sociedades y las ciudades en un contexto de transición ecosocial.
The article examines the eco-social polycrisis and the unsustainability of the dominant way of life, reviews the theory of the imperial way of life, and applies all of this to the current crisis of touristification. Finally, it suggests new ways to address the problem and create other forms of tourism that are compatible with the health of ecosystems, societies, and cities in a context of eco-social transition.
