Analízanse as dúas rotas seguidas polas tropas francesas a traveso da zona miñota da Dorsal Galaica a fin de entrar en Portugal pola raia seca do oriente ourensán ante a imposibilidade de facelo pola raia húmida miñota e as mancornadas serranías existentes a continuación cara o sur. Rota na que resulta factor de certa importancia a orografía do terreo, aproveitada polos insurrectos galegos naqueles espazos máis difíciles
“The two routes followed by French troops when crossing the Galician zone of the Dorsal Galaica are studied. The aim was to enter Portugal by the dry border of eastern Ourense, given the impossibility of doing so by the humid Miño border and the subsequent rugged mountain ranges to the south. A route in which the orography of the terrain proves to be a factor of some importance, exploited by Galician insurgents in those more difficult spaces.”
