This contribution presents the «Cronaca» of the 27th International Conference of the Accademia Romanistica Costantiniana, held in Spello from June 25 to 28, 2025. The event focused on gender issues, and in particular on the role of women in Late Antiquity. The topic attracted great interest, so much so that the conference was extended by one extra day. The talks explored, from different perspectives, the complexity and im-portance of the female role in legal and cultural institutions of the time, offering a new historical and legal reconstruction of the evolution of women’s condition in both the Eastern and Western parts of the Empire.
