El artículo se propone indagar el funcionamiento del discurso de odio, principalmente contra los inmigrantes, así como estrategias de resistencia al mismo. Para esto, en una primera instancia, nos detendremos en el análisis de estas retóricas que homogeneizan, estigmatizan, deshumanizan y demonizan a ciertos colectivos sociales históricamente subordinados, dando cuenta de que operan basándose en estereotipos culturales. En una segunda instancia, se examinará la estrategia del “bloqueo”, que propone una interrupción, por parte de los oyentes, de las presuposiciones que acarrea el discurso de odio, la cual puede ocasionar que un acto de habla falle. La hipótesis consiste en que si concedemos que los discursos de odio están basados en estereotipos negativos sobre grupos sociales vulnerables, como es el colectivo migrante, la estrategia de bloqueo puede preventivamente socavar la circulación de estereotipos racistas y sexistas, y deshabilitar los actos de habla que los presuponen.
This article aims to investigate the functioning of hate speech, primarily against immigrants, as well as strategies of resistance to it. To this end, we will first analyze these rhetorics that homogenizes, stigmatizes, dehumanizes, and demonizes certain historically subordinated social groups, showing that they operate based on cultural stereotypes. In a second stage, the strategy of 'blocking' will be examined, which proposes an interruption, by listeners, of the presuppositions that hate speech carries, which can cause a speech act to fail. The hypothesis is that if we acknowledge that hate speech is based on negative stereotypes about vulnerable social groups, such as migrants, the blocking strategy can preemptively undermine the circulation of racist and sexist stereotypes and disable the speech acts that presuppose them.
