    El presente documento analiza la configuración de la institución sucesoria romana de la In Ivre Cessio Hereditatis según la regulación contenida en las fuentes latinas clásicas de las Institvtiones de Gayo y el Epítome de Ulpiano. A pesar de los escasos textos que nos han dejado estos autores, este trabajo pretende comprender su origen y motivos de su aparición, así como las causas de su ocaso. La piedra angular del trabajo descansa en resolver si es posible una verdadera transmisión de la delatio en la In Ivre Cessio y en qué supuestos podría ésta producirse.

    The present essay analyzes the configuration of the successor Roman institution of the In Ivre Cessio Hereditatis referred in the Institvtiones of Gaius and Ulpiano’s Epitome. In spite of the scanty texts that these authors have left us, this essay tries to understand its origin and motives of its appearance, as well as the reasons of its decline. The cornerstone of this essay rests in resolving if a real transmission of the delatio is possible in the In Ivre Cessio and in which hypothesis it might be possible.
