Este artículo dice relación con las políticas de planificación territorial como una de las herramientas de preservación de la biodiversidad y de lucha contra el cambio climático en el contexto chileno. Es en el cruce de esos tres aspectos que surge la necesidad de implementar de manera ordenada y metódica las Infraestructuras Verdes. Después de asentar la base teórico-conceptual, se muestra que existe un marco jurídico e institucional favorable para constituirlas como el sostén general orientador de la planificación territorial. En ese contexto, es a nivel regional que las posibilidades de acción deben ser aplicadas, por lo cual se propone recomendaciones para su adecuada integración en el ordenamiento territorial chileno.

This article discusses territorial planning policies as one of the tools for preserving biodiversity and combating climate change in the Chilean context. It is at the intersection of these three aspects that the need arises to implement Green Infrastructure in an orderly and methodical manner. After establishing the theoretical and conceptual basis, it is shown that there is a favorable legal and institutional framework for establishing them as the general guiding principle of territorial planning. In this context, it is at the regional level that the possibilities for action must be applied, which is why recommendations are proposed for their proper integration into Chilean territorial planning.
