En esta investigación se analiza el desarrollo legal e histórico de la prensa en la región de Castilla-La Mancha. La primera parte estudia los cambios democráticos que la Constitución española y las leyes autonómicas supusieron para definir un sistema en materia de comunicación regional. Posteriormente, se aborda la construcción mediática de la prensa, que se produce a finales del siglo pasado, incidiendo en el posterior declive que la crisis económica del año 2008 generó en la sociedad de la información. La última parte analiza el surgimiento de los medios digitales en la región, estudiando los límites y problemas en el ejercicio del periodismo, especialmente tras la crisis sanitaria del año 2019.
This research analyzes the legal and historical development of the press in the region of Castilla-La Mancha. The first part studies the democratic changes that the Spanish Constitution and the regional laws entailed to define a system of regional communication. Subsequently, the media construction of the press is addressed, which occurred at the end of the last century, influencing the subsequent decline that the economic crisis of 2008 generated in the informa-tion society. The last part analyzes the emergence of digital media in the region, studying the limits and problems in the practice of journalism, especially after the health crisis of 2019
