La presente investigación tiene por objetivo analizar la participación de las mujeres en la Iglesia Católica Romana. Las múltiples aportaciones y diversos servicios que prestan dentro de la misma escapan a la mirada común, sin apreciarse su verdadera dimensión y relevancia. Las malas interpretaciones no resaltan la labor tan significativa por ellas desempeñadas, ni prestan atención a las contundentes estadísticas que demuestran una mayoritaria, activa y permanente participación de las mujeres en todas las congregaciones católicas, tratándose de un servicio que ofrecen en forma entusiasta, ordenada, eficiente, con gran profundidad intelectual y de manera caritativa. Esto quiere decir que, a pesar de ser clave su papel en el buen funcionamiento de la acción eclesial, el mismo no está valorado ni dentro ni fuera de la misma Iglesia, lo que incide en una lamentable desinformación a este respecto. El presente estudio se sustenta en una revisión analítica de documentos que resaltan la importancia del papel de las mujeres en la Iglesia, así como la necesidad de un mayor reconocimiento eclesial y laical, abogando por una institución más cónsona con los principios cristianos, con la justicia y la búsqueda de la verdad.
This research aims to analyze the participation of women in the Roman Catholic Church. The many contributions and diverse services they provide within the Church escape the public eye, and their true relevance is overlooked. Misinterpretations fail to highlight the significant work they perform, nor do they pay attention to the compelling statistics that demonstrate the majority, active, and ongoing participation of women in all Catholic congregations. This service is provided enthusiastically, orderly, efficiently, with great intellectual depth, and in a charitable manner. This means that, despite their key role in the proper functioning of ecclesial action, it is not valued either within or outside the Church itself, which leads to a regrettable lack of information in this regard. This study is based on an analytical review of documents that highlight the importance of women's role in the Church, as well as the need for greater ecclesial and lay recognition, advocating for an institution more in line with Christian principles, justice, and the pursuit of truth.
