This study investigated the relationship between financial resources provided by the Foundation for Research and Innovation Support of the State of Santa Catarina (FAPESC) and the performance of business incubators in the region. The analysis focused on the impact of these resources on the growth, sustainability, and effectiveness of 26 FAPESC-funded incubators during 2021 and 2022. Employing descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and resource distribution mapping, the study revealed significant variability in the amounts received, the number of incubated companies, and their operational timelines. The Greater Florianópolis area emerged as a strategic hub for technological enterprises, receiving substantial investments. The findings underscore the crucial role of FAPESC funding in fostering the growth and sustainability of Santa Catarina’s incubators, while acknowledging the potential influence of additional factors on these outcomes.
Este estudo investigou a conexão entre recursos financeiros da Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa e Inovação do Estado de Santa Catarina (FAPESC) e o desempenho das incubadoras de negócios no estado. Analisou-se o impacto dos recursos no crescimento, sustentabilidade e eficácia das 26 incubadoras financiadas pela FAPESC, considerando os anos de 2021 e 2022. Foi utilizada estatística descritiva, análise de correlação e mapeamento de distribuição de recursos. Verifica-se a diversidade nos valores recebidos no número de empresas incubadas e períodos de atividade. A Grande Florianópolis destacou-se como área estratégica com investimentos significativos, indicando um foco em empreendimentos tecnológicos. A relação entre recursos substanciais e sustentabilidade sugere o papel crucial dos investimentos da FAPESC no crescimento e continuidade das incubadoras catarinenses, embora outros fatores também possam influenciar essa dinâmica.
