El presente estudio investiga la influencia de los conceptos voluntad e intelecto de Schopenhauer en la segunda tópica de Freud, y del pesimismo y el ascetismo del primero en la última teoría motivacional del segundo. Es posible concluir que ambos conceptos se corresponden en funcionamiento y estructura con el ello y el yo freudianos, y que del pesimismo y el ascetismo schopenhauerianos nace la cosmovisión que Freud reflejaría en su instinto de muerte. Esta conexión entre ambos pensadores pone de manifiesto un vínculo de conocimiento entre filosofía y psicología como disciplinas de investigación, pese a su aparente lejanía hoy día.
This article investigates the influence of Schopenhauer’s will and intellect in Freud’s second topography, as well as the influence of the former’s pessimism and asceticism in the latter’s last motivational theory. We can conclude that both concepts match in functioning and structure with Freud’s id and ego, and that from Schopenhauer’s pessimism and asceticism derives the worldview that Freud would express in his death instinct. This link between both thinkers brings to light a connection between Philosophy and Psychology as research fields, despite their current apparent distance.
