La financiación sostenible se ha convertido en un instrumento clave para alcanzar los objetivos ambientales y climáticos fijados tanto en el Acuerdo de París como en el Pacto Verde Europeo. En este contexto, la emisión de bonos verdes tiene como objetivo canalizar recursos hacia actividades económicas alineadas con la taxonomía de la UE (energías renovables, eficiencia energética o movilidad limpia). Por ello, en este trabajo se analizará la regulación de dichos bonos en la UE, destacando los principales retos ante los que nos encontramos en su aplicación en aras de alcanzar una mayor armonización internacional.
Sustainable finance has become a key instrument for achieving the environmental and climate goals set out in both the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal. In this context, the issuance of green bonds aims to channel resources towards economic activities aligned with the EU Taxonomy (such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, or clean mobility). Therefore, this paper will analyze the regulation of green bonds within the EU, highlighting the main challenges encountered in their implementation in pursuit of greater international harmonization.
