No siempre es sencillo, destacar la vida de quien su vida ha sido segada. Hacerlo cuidando los ideales y metas que encumbraron la vida de la persona que se exalta, es honrar el recorrido que a bien lo distinguió. Más, tratándose de un Maestro. Es el caso del Dr. Luís Beltrán Prieto Figueroa. La decisión del Gobierno venezolano de declararlo personaje cardinal del siglo XX venezolano, estimó el traslado de sus restos mortales al Panteón Nacional, lo cual fue razón para pronunciar los discursos de rigor que permite el protocolo de tan lucidos actos. Algunas opiniones emitidas, no alcanzaron a comprender el grosor del pensamiento político y educativo de quien pudo reivindicar valores de democracia y libertades. It is not always easy, to highlight the life of someone whose life has been cut short. Doing so while taking care of the ideals and goals that surround the life of the person being exalted, is to honor the journey that distinguished him. Especially when it comes to a teacher. This is the case of Dr. Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa. The Venezuelan government’s decision to declare him a cardinal figure of the 20th century in Venezuela necessitated the transfer of his remains to the National Pantheon, which was the reason for the delivery of the required speeches permitted by the protocol for such splendid events. Some opinions, expressed failed to grasp the depth of the political and educational thinking of whom he could claim the values of democracy and freedom. This is how this dissertation, moderately, he walks for the democratic talent of Prieto Figueroa.
