En este artículo resalto la personalidad, el don de locación, la vivacidad, la energía literaria y muchas de sus facetas conocidas del Dr. Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa; así como su locuacidad, su don de gente y la energía profesional demostrada durante su desempaño, tanto en lo profesional como en lo político. En lo personal, ensalzo su relación conmigo, quien a pesar de su aversión a los militares, fui tolerado por él, quien, en una oportunidad para halagarme y quitarme el estigma, me dijo: ¡Verdad que tú también eres maestro! Resalto mi parentesco en cuarto grado de consanguinidad con el Maestro, quien fue mordaz contra el militarismo, enceguecido por la traición que tuvo como político perteneciente al partido Acción Democrática en 1948, cuando el gobierno donde él participaba, fue derrocado por el movimiento militar dirigido entre otros, por quien se transformaría en el penúltimo dictador del siglo XX, el para entonces teniente coronel Marcos Pérez Jiménez
In this article, I highlight Dr. Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa’s personality, his gift for location, his vivacity, his literary energy, and many of his well-known facets; as well as his loquacity, his gift for people, and the professional energy demonstrated throughout his tenure, both professionally and politically. On a personal level, I commend his relationship with me.
Despite his aversion to the military, I was tolerated by him. On one occasion, to flatter me and remove the stigma, he said, “Aren’t you a teacher too?” I emphasize my fourth-degree blood relationship with the Professor, who was scathingly opposed to militarism, blinded by his betrayal as a politician belonging to the Democratic Action Party in 1948, when the government in which he participated was overthrown by the military movement led, among others, by the man who would become the penultimate dictator of the 20th century, then Lieutenant Colonel Marcos Pérez Jiménez.
