    Este artículo trata sobre el origen histórico del uso de la conjunción «y/o» en el lenguaje legal y el debate que existe sobre si es contrario a la exactitud que debe requerirse a un texto legal. Se analizan separadamente las distintas situaciones dentro de la frase en las que el «y/o» puede presentarse y los distintos tipos de ambigüedad que se pueden generar.

    This article deals with the historical origin of the use of the conjunction «and/or» in legal language and the debate that exists about whether it is contrary to the accuracy that should be required in a legal text. The different situations within the sentence in which the «and/or» can appear and the different types of ambiguity that can be generated are analyzed separately.
