El artículo Sovietización y Revolución Cubana: interpretaciones en torno al desarrollo cultural de una isla socialista aborda ideas en torno al concepto de sovietización como esquema interpretativo crítico de las relaciones culturales entre los países socialistas de Europa del Este y su aplicación a la experiencia cubana luego del triunfo revolucionario en enero de 1959. Se determinan los nexos teóricos e ideológicos de esta teoría con otras afines orientadas a describir las relaciones entre los países socialistas euro-orientales en el ámbito de la cultura. Igualmente se hace una comparación entre el uso tradicional que se dio a este término entre los teóricos occidentales ubicados entre la década del cincuenta y finales de los ochenta y la remantización que sufre este enfoque luego de la década de los noventa con la crisis del socialismo internacional. Se analiza la relación que se ha dado a este enfoque con etiquetas como Quinquenio Gris, usualmente utilizada para caracterizar etapas dentro de la historia cultural de la Revolución; a la par que se actualiza al lector sobre la evolución argumental que ha tenido esta perspectiva de análisis.
The article “Sovietization and the Cuban Revolution: interpretations around the cultural development of a socialist island” addresses ideas around the concept of Sovietization as a critical interpretive scheme of the cultural relations between the socialist countries of Eastern Europe and its application to the Cuban experience after the triumph. revolutionary in January 1959.
