Salamanca, con su valioso patrimonio histórico, enfrenta el reto de equilibrar el crecimiento turístico con la conservación de su legado. En este contexto, el Plan de Sostenibilidad Turística en Destino, aprobado en 2021, busca optimizar los flujos de turistas mediante tecnologías innovadoras y una gestión inteligente, reduciendo el impacto ambiental y ofreciendo una experiencia enriquecedora para turistas y residentes. Este plan se alinea con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) y la Agenda 2030, con un enfoque integral hacia la sostenibilidad. A través de esta iniciativa, Salamanca no solo refuerza su compromiso con la sostenibilidad, sino que también se perfila como un referente en la gestión turística de ciudades patrimoniales.

Therefore, the transition to a sustainable development model has become essential. Salamanca, with its valuable historical heritage, faces the challenge of balancing tourism growth with the conservation of its legacy. In this context, the Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan, approved in 2021, aims to optimize tourist flows through innovative technologies and smart management, reducing environmental impact and providing an enriching experience for both tourists and residents. This plan aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda, adopting a comprehensive approach to sustainability. Through this initiative, not only does Salamanca strengthen its commitment to sustainability, but it also positions itself as a benchmark in the tourism management of heritage cities.
