The author starts from the consideration of the change in the regulatory context in which the negotiated settlement, the role of the expert and the simplified agreement are inserted. Then the author examines: the relationship between negotiated settlement and simplified agreement; the distinctive aspects of the simplified agreement and the meaning of its inclusion within the possible purposes of the negotiated settlement; the legal nature, as well as the main structural and functional characteristics.
