Las pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes) en Perú constituyen el soporte de una economía que genera altos niveles de empleo, pero que también, son vulnerables a la supervivencia por la ausencia de estrategias gerenciales. El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar el impacto mediador del entorno creativo en la relación entre el empoderamiento y la satisfacción laboral en los empleados de las pymes. La investigación adoptó un enfoque post-positivista con un paradigma cuantitativo y la aplicación del método hipotético deductivo. Se utilizó un muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple en las pymes de los sectores de economía de manufactura y comercio en las ciudades Lima y Arequipa con una muestra de 318 unidades de análisis para la aplicación de modelos de ecuaciones estructurales. Los resultados encontraron que el empoderamiento produce un efecto sobre la satisfacción laboral y sobre el entorno creativo. Los hallazgos demostraron que el entorno creativo ejerce el rol mediador en la relación entre el empoderamiento y la satisfacción laboral.
Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Peru constitute the support of an economy that generates high levels of employment, but they are also vulnerable to survival due to the absence of management strategies. The objective of this research was to determine the mediating impact of the creative environment in the relationship between empowerment and job satisfaction in employees of SMEs. The research adopted a post-positivist approach with a quantitative paradigm and the application of the hypothetical-deductive method. Simple random probabilistic sampling was used in SMEs in the manufacturing and commerce economy sectors in the cities of Lima and Arequipa with a sample of 318 analysis units for the application of structural equation models. The results found that empowerment produces an effect on job satisfaction and the creative environment. The findings demonstrated that the creative environment plays a mediating role in the relationship between empowerment and job satisfaction
