Con motivo del 150 aniversario del nacimiento del arquitecto Antonio Palacios Ramilo son muchas las actividades emprendidas en 2024 para homenajearle y recordarle, en especial en su tierra natal, Galicia, y en Madrid. Precisamente, este artículo trata de recoger los aspectos de su vida más significativos, no sólo pública, y recopilar sus obras en Madrid y su Comunidad, deteniéndose en las actuaciones más importantes, debidamente referenciadas. Se trata de contribuir así a enfatizar la significación que tuvo el personaje en la transformación de la imagen de la Villa, de cortesana a metropolitana.
In relation to 150th anniversary of the architect Antonio Palacios Ramilo’s birth, many activities are being undertaken in 2024. Its objective has been to pay homage and remember him, especially in his native Galicia and in Madrid. Specifi cally, this article attempts to compile the most signifi cant aspects of his life, not just his public one, and his work in Madrid and its region. However, this article focuses on the most important projects, duly referenced. The aim is to contribute to emphasizing the signifi cance this fi gure had to transform the image of the city, from courtly to metropolitan
