En nuestro trabajo publicado en el número del año 2023 de esta revista relativo al salón Nuevo del Alcázar, luego llamado de los Espejos, analizamos las pinturas que vio Cassiano dal Pozzo, secretario del legado papal cardenal Barberini, el 29 de mayo de 1626, de las que dejó memoria en su diario de viaje. Después de su publicación hemos examinado de forma exhaustiva la documentación que allí manejamos de modo fragmentario sobre referencias ajenas. In our work published in the 2023 issue of this journal on the New Hall of the Alcázar, later called the Hall of Mirrors, we analysed the paintings seen by Cassiano dal Pozzo, secretary to the papal legate Cardinal Barberini, on 29 May 1626, which he recorded in his travel diary. After its publication, we have exhaustively examined the documentation that we handled there in a fragmentary way on the basis of other references. We revise some of our assertions, add new elements and modifi e our view by establishing that there had been an earlier decorative programme, after ascertaining that a signifi cant number of the paintings seen by Pozzo had already been in place since April 1624.
