El artículo presenta una herramienta novedosa para la investigación accidentológica: el mapa de actores clave (MAC). El MAC tiene importantes ventajas para los equipos de investigación, ya que permite comprender rápidamente el panorama de un suceso e identificar, desde el inicio del trabajo, quiénes son las organizaciones y personas involucradas. Así, facilita la obtención de datos y el análisis de accidentes. El trabajo con MAC ayuda a conocer quiénes (y cómo) pueden contribuir u obstaculizar el logro de objetivos de las investigaciones de accidentes: transformar la situación bajo estudio, prevenir nuevos sucesos, fortalecer la seguridad operacional y, finalmente, mejorar el desempeño del sistema de transporte. Con este objetivo, en primer lugar, se introducirán algunas nociones claves, luego se definirán los propósitos y las ventajas del MAC y, por último, se explicará cómo elaborar un MAC y se presentará un ejemplo.
The article presents a novel tool for transport accidents investigation: the key actors map (MAC). The MAC offers significant advantages for investigation teams, as it allows them to quickly understand the panorama of an event and the identification of organizations and individuals involved. Consequently, the MAC facilitates data acquisition and accident analysis. Working with MAC helps to understand who (and how) can contribute or hinder the achievement of accident investigation objectives: transform the situation under study, prevent new events, strengthen safety and, finally, improve the performance of the transportation system. With this objective, firstly, some key notions will be introduced, then the purposes and advantages of MAC will be defined and, finally, how to prepare a MAC will be explained and an example will be presented.
