El presente escrito forma parte de las actividades realizadas en el marco del Proyecto I+D “Masculinidades y riesgo: trabajo, salud, violencias y relaciones sexo-afectivas en el Partido de La Plata” (2020-2025).
Dicho proyecto, perteneciente al Laboratorio de Estudios en Cultura y Sociedad (LECyS) de la Facultad de Trabajo Social (UNLP) se propone profundizar los avances realizados en la investigación “Haciendo visible lo invisible: la masculinidad como factor de riesgo en el Partido de La Plata (2018-2019)» e indagar cómo se expresa la masculinidad al transformarse en factor de riesgo en cuatro dimensiones particulares: trabajo, salud, violencias y relaciones sexo-afectivas.
Aquí nos centraremos en entrevistas semi-estructuradas realizadas a varones que se encuentran cumpliendo una medida impuesta judicialmente en dos dispositivos que comparten la característica de ser una respuesta que brinda el Estado para dar tratamiento a la problemática de la trasgresión y/o conflicto con la ley: uno destinado al abordaje de varones que han ejercido violencias por razones de género, y otro relativo a la órbita de la Subsecretaría de Responsabilidad Penal Juvenil.
Si bien son dos dispositivos que se encuentran destinados a situaciones problemáticas y franjas etarias diferentes -mayores de 18 años en un caso, adolescentes de 16 a 18 años en el otro-, en las entrevistas encontramos ciertas similitudes que reconstruiremos a partir de los relatos obtenidos, con el objetivo de realizar un acercamiento a las categorías de masculinidades, riesgo y violencia, para luego llevar adelante un análisis que permita establecer relaciones entre las mismas.
This article is part of the activities carried out within the framework of the R&D Project «Masculinities and Risk: Work, Health, Violence, and Sexual and Affective Relationships in La Plata» (2020-2025). This project, from the Laboratory for Studies in Culture and Society (LECyS) of the Faculty of Social Work (UNLP), seeks to deepen the advances of the research «Making the Invisible Visible: Masculinity as a Risk Factor in La Plata (2018-2019)» and investigate how masculinity is expressed when it becomes a risk factor in four specific dimensions: work, health, violence, and sexual and affective relationships. In this work, we will focus on semi-structured interviews with men serving sentences in two institutions that share the characteristic of being state responses to the problem of transgression and/or conflict with the law: one aimed at men who have committed gender-based violence, and the other, within the framework of the Undersecretariat of Juvenile Criminal Responsibility. While these two spaces address different problematic situations and age groups—people over 18 in one case, adolescents between 16 and 18 in the other—we found certain similarities in the interviews, which we will reconstruct based on the stories obtained. This seeks to explore the categories of masculinities, risk, and violence, and then conduct an analysis that allows us to establish relationships between them.
