Las mujeres hemos sido marginadas y mucho por el Derecho civil, y ello porque el Código de 1889 fue escrito por y para hombres; rezumaba una ideología profundamente androcéntrica, la propia de la sociedad patriarcal de la época durante la cual se gestó. En este trabajo hacemos un breve recorrido por la situación de la mujer desde 1889 hasta nuestros días y conocemos qué puertas cerradas a cal y canto consiguieron abrirse con hercúleos esfuerzos para que nosotras pudiéramos atravesarlas hoy con absoluta libertad.
Women have been marginalised by civil law, and this is because the Code of 1889 was written by and for men; it exuded a deeply androcentric ideology, typical of the patriarchal society of the time at which it was created. In this article we provide a brief overview of the situation of women from 1889 to the present day and we learn which doors that were locked tight were later opened with Herculean efforts so that we could pass through them today with absolute freedom.
Zuzenbide zibilak asko baztertu gaitu emakumeok, 1889ko Kodea gizonek gizonezkoentzat idatzi zutelako; ideologia erabat androzentrikoa zerion, sortu zen garaiko gizarte patriarkalaren berezkoa, hain zuzen. Lan honetan, emakumeak 1889tik gaur egunera arte izan duen egoera jorratuko dugu labur, eta jakingo dugu ondo baino hobeto itxita zeuden zer ate ireki ahal izan ziren izugarrizko ahaleginak eginda, emakumeok gaur egun erabateko askatasunarekin zeharkatu ahal izan ditzagun.
