Este trabajo pretende aproximarnos a la actual y, en muchos casos desconocida realidad del fenómeno de la trata de seres humanos con fines de explotación sexual en nuestro país, al consolidarse como país de tránsito y destino, así como sus numerosas implicaciones en materia de derechos humanos y a nivel económico y social. Para ello, se analizará la legislación vigente en este concreto ámbito, así como las demandas sociales que reclaman y reivindican la aprobación de una ley integral en materia de trata de seres humanos que establezca medidas efectivas para erradicar esta forma de “esclavitud del Siglo XXI”.
This report aims to bring us closer to the current and, in many cases, unknown reality of the phenomenon of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation in our country, by consolidating itself as a country of transit and destination, and its many implications in terms of human rights and at an economic and social level. To do this, the current legislation in this specific area will be analyzed, as well as the social demands that call for the approval of a comprehensive law on human trafficking that establishes measures to fight against this form of “slavery in the 21st century”.
