La investigación analiza el texto de 133 notas informativas en torno a temas educativos publicadas en las versiones en línea de cuatro periódicos del área metropolitana de Guadalajara entre febrero y mayo de 2023. La pregunta principal del estudio es: ¿cómo es la narrativa educativa en la prensa escrita tapatía? Para responder a ésta se utilizó una metodología mixta, que en primera instancia implicó el análisis y clasificación de las notas informativas, y en segunda, utilizó una aplicación digital en línea para el conteo y segmentación de palabras. Como resultado se presenta una serie de gráficas sobre frecuencia de notas, género y tipos periodísticos empleados, quiénes fueron los actores institucionales involucrados, el factor detonante del hecho noticioso y los valores educativos constitucionales aludidos en las notas informativas. La investigación concluye aportando elementos para entender cómo las versiones en línea de la prensa escrita tapatía intervienen en la construcción de una narrativa social acerca de la educación en la ciudad de Guadalajara, y finaliza con una serie de recomendaciones para mejorar la amplitud y profundidad de la cobertura noticiosa sobre temas educativos.
The research analyzes the text of 133 informative notes on educational topics published in the online versions of four newspapers from the Guadalajara metropolitan area between February and May 2023. The primary research question is: What is the educational narrative in the local written press? To address this, a mixed methodology was employed, which initially involved the analysis and classification of informative notes and subsequently used an online digital application for word counting and segmentation. As a result, a series of graphs are presented on note frequency, gender and journalistic types used, the institutional actors involved, the triggering factor of the news event, and the constitutional educational values alluded to in the informative notes. The research concludes by providing elements to understand how the online versions of the local written press intervene in the construction of a social narrative about education in the city of Guadalajara and ends with a series of recommendations to improve the breadth and depth of news coverage on educational topics.
