Tras las crisis que se han ido sucediendo en España y la gestión que los diferentes gobiernos del sistema bipartidista han hecho de las mismas, el panorama político ha ido cambiado a través de la entrada de nuevos partidos que, a través de un discurso populista, han logrado alcanzar el poder en las diferentes instancias de representación. Pero dicho discurso también ha contribuido a polarizar y crispar a la población. Por ello, este trabajo se dirige a examinar como se concreta la estrategia populista y cuáles son los elementos que definen tanto a estos movimientos como a sus discursos, con la finalidad de entender la relación entre populismo y polarización política en España.
Following the crises that have been occurring in Spain and the deficient management of these crises by the different governments of the two-party system, the political landscape has been changing with the entry of new parties that, through a populist discourse, have managed to achieve power in the different representative bodies. But this discourse has also contributed to polarising and inflaming the population. For this reason, this paper aims to examine how populist strategy takes shape and what are the elements that define both these movements and their discourses, in order to understand the relationship between populism and political polarization in Spain.
