En el presente trabajo se analiza la necesidad y viabilidad de reducir el tiempo entre la primera y segunda ronda de las elecciones presidenciales en Costa Rica, que actualmente es de dos meses, el más largo en América Latina. Un proyecto de ley en la corriente legislativa busca acortar este intervalo para mejorar la representatividad y legitimidad de las elecciones presidenciales.
This work analyzes, the necessity and feasibility of reducing the time between the first and second rounds of presidential elections in Costa Rica, which is currently two months, the longest in Latin America. The legislative bill in progress seeks to shorten this interval to improve the representativeness and legitimacy of presidential elections.
