En este artículo se intentará mostrar el recorrido y la función que el concepto de categoría ha adoptado en las diversas tradiciones filosóficas.
Este es el motivo por el que se partirá desde la tradición griega que la entendía como predicado, pasando por la escolástica y las filosofías idealistas de Kant hasta Hegel, de allí al positivismo lógico y el existencialismo, quienes problematizan la continuidad con base predicativa del concepto de categoría, hasta desembocar en la posición de transición que Lukács lleva a cabo entre sus propios intereses ontológicos y los de Marx, en donde ya adquiere el carácter de formas del ser
This article will try to present the path and the function that the concept of category has adopted in the different philosophical traditions. This is the reason why it will start from the Greek tradition that understood it as a predicate, passing through scholasticism and the idealist philosophies of Kant to Hegel, from there to logical positivism and existentialism, who problematise the continuity with predicative basis of the concept of category, until it ends up in the transition position that Lukács carries out between his own ontological interests and those of Marx, where it already acquires the character of forms of being.
