With people's growing concern about environmental issues, thrift stores are emerging as a sustainable alternative to reduce the impacts of the textile industry. And, in this context, it becomes a good business opportunity in which there is little competition and low initial investment. However, in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, companies suffered impacts on their businesses and needed to undergo adaptations to adapt to the new reality. Thus, micro and small businesses - as in the case of thrift stores - also needed to reinvent themselves to overcome the challenges encountered. Thus, the objective of this work was to analyze the main operational and logistical aspects of thrift stores in the Federal District during the Covid-19 pandemic. As for the method, the research was exploratory-descriptive, with a qualitative approach. And, through content analysis, a multiple case study was conducted, interviewing 6 (six) thrift store owners in the Federal District, selected for accessibility. The interviews were conducted through a semi-structured script and the main results showed that the thrift stores work with the return of used clothes to the secondary market, going through a process of recapture of value and contributing to the environment, becoming a profitable way even in the face of the crisis caused by the Coronavirus. However, the results also showed that, for this, micro and small entrepreneurs had to undergo adaptations in their operations and logistics, one of them being technological changes.
Com a crescente preocupação das pessoas com as questões ambientais, os brechós surgem como uma alternativa sustentável para reduzir os impactos da indústria têxtil. E, nesse contexto, torna-se uma boa oportunidade de negócio na qual há uma pequena concorrência e baixo investimento inicial. Contudo, diante da pandemia da Covid-19, as empresas sofreram impactos em seus negócios e precisaram passar por adaptações para se adequarem à nova realidade. Dessa forma, os micro e pequenos negócios - como no caso dos brechós - também precisaram se reinventar para superar os desafios encontrados. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar os principais aspectos operacionais e logísticos dos brechós do Distrito Federal durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Quanto ao método, a pesquisa foi de caráter exploratório-descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa. E, por meio da análise de conteúdo, foi realizado um estudo de múltiplos casos, entrevistando-se 6 (seis) proprietários de brechós do Distrito Federal, selecionados por acessibilidade. As entrevistas foram realizadas por meio de um roteiro semiestruturado e os principais resultados apontaram que os brechós trabalham com o retorno de roupas usadas ao mercado secundário, passando por um processo de recaptura de valor e contribuindo para o meio ambiente, tornando-se uma forma rentável mesmo diante da crise causada pelo Coronavírus. Porém, os resultados mostraram, ainda, que para isso, os micro e pequenos empreendedores precisaram passar por adaptações em suas operações e logística, sendo umas delas, as mudanças tecnológicas.
