    Este trabajo se centra en los desafíos éticos y metodológicos enfrentados al investigar el Tapón del Darién, un importante corredor migratorio en América Latina. A través de un enfoque etnográfico, se examina cómo los investigadores pueden navegar entre las estructuras de poder, la gobernanza criminal y las emociones propias y de los migrantes. Se aborda el dilema de etnografiar tanto al migrante como al poder, considerando las complejidades inherentes a la dominación en la región.

    This study delves into the ethical and methodological challenges faced when resear-ching the Darién Gap, a pivotal migration corridor in Latin America. Employing an ethnographic lens, it examines how researchers can navigate the interplay of power structures, criminal governance, and the emotions of both themselves and the mi-grants. The paper confronts the conundrum of ethnographically studying both the migrants and the prevailing powers, taking into account the inherent complexities of dominance in the region.
