El desarrollo del sector ecológico es uno de los desafíos más importantes de nuestras sociedades por varias razones. En concreto, contribuye a hacer frente a tres retos actuales: mejorar la salud de las personas, proteger el medio ambiente e impulsar el bienestar económico de los agricultores. La agricultura ecológica es la parte más importante del sector ecológico, pues constituye el principio de toda la cadena articulada que constituye este sector. Este trabajo identifica las particularidades que presenta la agricultura ecológica en la Comunitat Valenciana y señala un conjunto de recomendaciones de política económica para impulsar su desarrollo.
The development of the organic sector is one of the most important challenges of our societies for several reasons. Specifically, it contributes to addressing three current challenges: improving people's health, protecting the environment and boosting the economic well-being of farmers. Organic farming is the most important part of the organic sector, as it constitutes the beginning of the entire chain that constitutes the sector. This work identifies the characteristics of organic farming in the Valencian Region and indicates a set of economic policy recommendations to promote its development.
