Este artículo aborda las narrativas y prácticas desplegadas por los actores sociales intervinientes en la disputa por las concepciones, usos y apropiaciones del espacio urbano público en el marco de la recualificación de San Telmo, Buenos Aires, llevada a cabo por el Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires entre 2014 y 2020. Se empleó una metodología cualitativa que incluyó el análisis documental, la entrevista semiestructurada y la observación. Los hallazgos dan cuenta que los actores involucrados en este conflicto se identifican como usuarios legítimos de San Telmo alterizando a los demás actores, y que de sus narrativas y prácticas se infieren concepciones típico-ideales del espacio urbano público.
This article addresses the narratives and practices deployed by the social actors involved in the dispute over the conceptions, uses and appropriations during the requalification of San Telmo carried out by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires between 2014 and 2020. A qualitative methodology was used that included documen-tary analysis, semi-structured interview and observation. The fin-dings show that the actors involved in this conflict identify themselves as legitimate users of San Telmo altering the other actors, and that typical-ideal conceptions of public urban space are inferred from their narratives and practices.
