Se expone una amplia biografía desde su aprendizaje con José Larreur. En 815 empezó a regentar la Real Fábrica de Platería hasta 1819. No alcanzó el título de platero de cámara, pero sí el de tasador de las obras que se hicieran para el Real Servicio. Ocupó varios oficios en el colegio de San Eloy y tuvo numerosos aprendices y oficiales. Se estudia su clientela tanto de obras domésticas como de uso litúrgico. Otros capítulos se dedican a la tipología, aspectos formales y figurativos y al marcado de las piezas, descubriendo algunas con marcas apócrifas de 1797 y 1807. El catálogo de obras reúne las que se hicieron en la Real Fábrica bajo su dirección y 27 realizadas como maestro independiente de 1820 a 1830.
A detailed biography is presented, starting with his apprenticeship with José Larreur .In 1815 he began managing the Royal Silver Factory until 1819. He did not obtained the title of Court Silversmith, although he had already earned the title of appraiser for works made for the Royal Service. He held several positions at the Colegio de San Eloy. He had numerous apprentices and craftsmen working under him. His clientele is studied in this writing, covering both domestic works and liturgical items. Other chapters focus on the typology, formal and fi gurative aspects, and the marking of pieces, uncovering some with counterfeit marks from 1797 and 1807. The catalog of works includes those made at the Royal Factory under his direction, as well as 27 created as an independent master from 1820 to 1830.
