El estudio de la evolución de la legislación laboral, permite comprender cómo se ha conformado la actual Prevención de Riesgos Laborales y cómo se crearon diferentes instituciones a lo largo del siglo XX. Durante este periodo, se aprobó abundante normativa que este trabajo sintetiza de forma sistemática y cronológica, mencionando las principales aportaciones legales. La Ley de Accidentes de Trabajo de 1900, introdujo la responsabilidad del empresario de la ocurrencia de los accidentes laborales. La Guerra Civil, provocó una ruptura con las contribuciones anteriores, con complicadas condiciones de trabajo. A finales del siglo XX, la Ley de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales, procuró mejorar la seguridad y salud de los trabajadores.
Labour legislation evolution study, allow to understand how the actual labor risk prevention has been defined, and how the different institutions were created throughout the twentieth century. During this period, plenty of regulatory documents were approved. The goal of this study is to systematically and chronologically resume those documents highlighting the main legal contribution on each of them. Work Accidents Act of 1900, introduced business owner liability on those accidents that had occurred on the workspaces. Civil war caused a breakdown with previous regulations, with complicated working conditions. At the end of the 20th century, Law of Labor Risk Prevention sought to improve the safety and health of workers.
