Sin lugar a dudas, la irrupción de la Inteligencia Artificial en nuestras vidas ha convulsionado y mucho nuestra existencia llenándonos de interrogantes, miedos y desconcierto sobre el futuro que nos espera con esta disrupción tecnológica. Estamos ante la llamada 3.ª gran revolución: la primera, fue la industrial en el siglo XIX que conmovió y estratificó notablemente las sociedades de la época. Una centuria después, ya en el pasado siglo XX, fueron los ordenadores e internet los que irrumpieron de forma contundente hace apenas 25 años donde pasamos de la máquina de escribir y copias en papel cebolla al procesador de textos. Le siguieron las redes sociales y el marketing digital. Ahora, en los albores de este siglo XXI, ha sido la IA la que ha irrumpido fuertemente. ¿Cuál es el futuro de la Abogacía? ¿Deberá adaptarse, desaparecerá o subsistirá? A lo largo de este artículo trataremos de arrojar luz a estos interrogantes.
Without a doubt, the emergence of Artificial Intelligence in our lives has significantly shaken our existence, filling us with questions, fears, and confusion about the future that awaits us with this technological disruption. We are facing the so-called 3rd great revolution: the first was the industrial revolution in the 19th century, which notably moved and stratified the societies of that time. A century later, in the past 20th century, it was computers and the internet that forcefully emerged just 25 years ago, transitioning us from typewriters and onion skin copies to word processors. This was followed by social networks and digital marketing. Now, at the dawn of the 21st century, it is AI that has strongly emerged. What is the future of the legal profession? Should it adapt, will it disappear, or will it survive? Throughout this article, we will try to shed light on these questions.
