The work has context the subject Database in the Systems Engineering programme, where the didactic strategy Project Based Learning (ABPr) was applied with Formative Research in the subject, making it viable in the training of engineering students to achieve the fundamental competences for the solution of the real or elaborated project of case study. A questionnaire is applied to collect student perceptions, systematising data to show achievements. Results show the achievement of the proposed objectives as ABPr contributes to increasing the acquisition of knowledge and growth of the proposed competences. Concluding that students value favourably the experience with ABPr and the teacher’s performance.
Taking into account the Formative Research, they recognise that it contributed to their training by increasing their knowledge and skills, and also helped them to develop basic research skills for the development of other subjects in the future.
El trabajo tiene contexto la asignatura Base de Datos en el programa Ingeniería de Sistemas, donde se aplicó la estrategia didáctica Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABPr) con la Investigación Formativa en la asignatura, viabilizan que en la formación de los estudiantes en ingeniería logren las competencias fundamentales para solución del proyecto real o elaborado de caso estudio. Analizando y valorando logros que se alcanzan al aplicar ABPr. En acopio de la percepción estudiantil se aplica un cuestionario, sistematizando datos para exhibir logros. Resultados muestran logro de objetivos propuestos al contribuir ABPr a aumentar la adquisición de conocimientos y crecimiento de las competencias planteadas. Concluyendo que estudiantes valoran de manera favorable la experiencia con ABPr y desempeño del profesor. Tomando en cuenta la Investigación Formativa reconocen que aportó a su formación incrementando sus conocimientos, habilidades, también coadyuvó que desarrollaran habilidades básicas de investigación para el desarrollo de otras asignaturas a futuro.
