In this interview, Rodrigo analyzes the type of international business that the Ecuadorian State can develop and how to use its natural resources to benefit its strategies, as well as the socio-environmental conflicts that could arise. He argues that these aspects can generate tensions, especially in terms of energy supply, the rights of nature and the collective rights of indigenous nationalities. Given these conditions, it will be necessary to foresee and avoid damages that generate unnecessary compensation. It also highlights the importance of maintaining caution with organizations such as the International Monetary Fund, which could condition the country's fiscal policies. These frictions should be resolved through an agreement around a project that defines the path towards a constitutional, plurinational Ecuador, with rights and justice.
