The article analyses recent regulatory initiatives in the context of the fight against forced labour, among which particular emphasis will be given to the new Regulation adopted by the European Union. The analysis will show how these initiatives are mainly framed within the framework of commercial policy framework, with a return to the same perspective that characterised the very birth of the ILO after the First World War.
Il presente articolo analizza, nell’ambito del contrasto al lavoro forzato, recenti iniziative a livello normativo, tra le quali si segnala il nuovo Regolamento approvato dall’Unione europea. Si evidenzierà come tali iniziative siano principalmente inquadrabili entro schemi appartenenti alla politica commerciale, con un ritorno all’ottica che ha caratterizzato la stessa nascita dell’OIL dopo la Prima guerra mondiale.
