El presente artículo tiene como objetivo identificar la herramienta Web 2.0 que más se adapta al desarrollo de competencias genéricas en estudiantes de escuelas militares de Ecuador. Se utilizó para ello un análisis descriptivo-cuantitativo, se aplicó una encuesta a partir del uso de una escala de Likert a 58 alumnos de la Escuela Superior Militar de Aviación Cosme Rennella Barbatto y 57 alumnos de la Escuela Superior Naval Comandante Rafael Morán Valverde a quienes se les pidió que utilicen una herramienta Web 2.0 específica. Los resultados arrojaron que, en la mayoría de las dimensiones analizadas como es la disponibilidad de tiempo de la herramienta, la facilidad de uso de la misma para lograr entender contenidos, así como la posibilidad de lograr afianzar el pensamiento crítico de los estudiantes, fue el blog la herramienta Web 2.0 que obtuvo calificación satisfactoria, seguida del YouTube y wikis en aspectos de interacción.
This article aims to identify the Web 2.0 tool that best suits the development of generic skills in students of military schools in Ecuador. For this purpose, a descriptive-quantitative analysis was used, since a survey was applied based on the use of a Likert scale to 58 students of the Escuela Superior Militar de Aviación Cosme Rennella Barbatto and 57 students of the Escuela Superior Naval Comandante Rafael Morán Valverde who were asked them to use a specific Web 2.0 tool. The results showed that, in most of the dimensions analyzed, such as the availability of time for the tool, the ease of using it to understand content, as well as the possibility of strengthening the critical thinking of students, was the blog. the Web 2.0 tool that obtained a satisfactory rating, followed by YouTube and wikis in aspects of interaction.
