With the continuous development of technology, virtual reality (VR) technology has gradually integrated into our daily lives. As an innovative form of technology, VR technology has brought unprecedented possibilities to film and television creation, breaking the traditional boundaries of creation. VR technology is a computer technology that can create and experience virtual worlds, allowing users to experience virtual environments firsthand. In film and television creation, VR technology provides directors with more creative freedom and brings audiences a richer viewing experience. VR technology brings an interactive viewing experience to the audience. In VR movies, the audience is no longer a passive receiver, but can freely explore the virtual environment and participate in the development of the story plot. This interactive experience enhances the audience’s sense of participation and immersion, making watching movies more interesting and exciting. This article analyzes and studies the combination of VR technology and real-life film in film and television creation. Starting from the three main characteristics of VR technology, this paper elaborates on its innovative impact on the production equipment, methods, and concepts of video production, and conducts preliminary discussions on the development prospects of VR film and television.
