Assessing the quality of virtual university education has been an urgent need in the Peruvian context. Being the reason why the objective of the present study was to estimate the validity and consistency of a scale of evaluation of the quality of virtual education of the professional career of psychology of a public university in Lima - Peru. Using an evaluative quantitative methodology, a 5-item scale was designed and applied to 232 students (100% women) from the first to the sixth cycle of studies aged between 16 and 49 years (Mage = 24.70, SD = 6.88).
Finally, using the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test, it showed a value of .79 and the Bartlett Sphericity Test was significant (χ² = 310.769, df = 10, p <.001) . In addition, Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient was .76.
These results show that the scale is valid and reliable.
Evaluar la calidad de la educación virtual universitaria ha sido una necesidad urgente en el contexto peruano. Siendo la razón por la que el objetivo del presente estudio fue estimar la validez y la consistencia de una escala de evaluación de la calidad de la educación virtual de la carrera profesional de psicología de una universidad pública de Lima – Perú. Mediante una metodología cuantitativa de tipo evaluativa se diseñó una escala de 5 ítems que se aplicó a 232 estudiantes (100% mujeres) del primer al sexto ciclo de estudios con edades de 16 a 49 años (Medad = 24.70, DE = 6.88). Finalmente, mediante Análisis Factorial Exploratorio (AFE) con la prueba de Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) mostró un valor de .79 y el Test de Esfericidad de Bartlett fue significativo (χ² = 310,769, gl = 10, p <.001). Y el Coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach fue de .76. Estos resultados muestran que la escala es válida y confiable.
