Desde su aparición de forma generalizada en la región de París, la bicicleta ha sido un agente notorio de la movilidad urbana, con múltiples altibajos en su uso y en la implementación de la infraestructura que la posibilita. En un contexto de emergencia climática y de urgencia de alternativas a las modalidades de transporte contaminantes, la capital francesa y su área metropolitana están formalizando su modelo de movilidad pedalable de forma coordinada y coherente con el territorio. Con el fin de caracterizar la evolución de la infraestructura ciclable, se prestará atención sobre los marcos de interés para la movilidad ciclista (eficiencia, seguridad, competitividad e inclusividad) y se analizará el estado actual de la infraestructura ciclista construida desde los prismas del soporte geográfico, la accesibilidad territorial y la actividad urbana a su alrededor. De esta manera, será posible comprender las lógicas que articulan la movilidad ciclista en la metrópolis parisina y su prospectiva.
Since its widespread appearance in the Paris region, the bicycle has been a notorious player in urban mobility, with many ups and downs in its use and in the implementation of the infrastructure that makes it possible. In a context of climate emergency and the urgent need for alternatives to polluting modes of transport, the French capital and its metropolitan area are formalising their model of pedalling mobility in a coordinated and coherent manner with the territory. In order to characterise the evolution of cycling infrastructure, attention will be paid to the frameworks of interest for cycling mobility (efficiency, safety, competitiveness and inclusivity) and the current state of the built cycling infrastructure will be analysed from the prisms of geographical support, territorial accessibility and the urban activity around it. This way it will be possible to understand the logics that articulate cycling mobility in the Parisian metropolis and its prospective.
