La vida universitaria requiere utilizar estrategias como la bitácora. El objetivo fue analizar ventajas y desventajas del uso de la bitácora como motivaciones en la carrera. Se utilizó metodología mixta (cuantitativa y cualitativa). Estudiantes de una Facultad de Educación de Perú participaron en un grupo focal y una encuesta. Se encontraron motivaciones filantrópicas e inspiración docente para continuar la carrera, la bitácora mejora la atención y concentración, la motivación para aprender, enriquece su vocabulario y la toma de decisiones. Hay un déficit en el hábito de tomar notas, gestionar el tiempo y filtrar la información. Se concluye que la bitácora es una estrategia favorable para el aprendizaje.
University life requires using strategies such as the log. The objective was to analyze advantages and disadvantages of the use of the log as motivations in the career. It used mixed methodology (quantitative and qualitative). Students from a Faculty of Education in Peru participated in a focus group and survey. Philanthropic motivations and teaching inspiration were found to continue the career, the log improves attention and concentration, motivation to learn, enriches their vocabulary and decision making. There is a deficit in the habit of taking notes, time management and filtering information. It concludes that the log is a favorable strategy for learning.
