Este trabajo es un estudio cualitativo que describe la historia y trayectoria de tres migrantes de retorno deportados a la Ciudad de México. Se analizan sus prácticas cotidianas y su trayectoria de vida en los diferentes momentos de su historia migratoria: antes de migrar, durante su vida en Estados Unidos y al retornar a México. En la Ciudad de México, en los últimos años se ha incrementado la cantidad de vuelos gubernamentales del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) (Olivo, 2017). Muchos de estos inmigrantes retornados tienen como destino la CDMX (Lakhani, 2017). El trabajo forma parte de un estudio binacional más amplio (Ciudad de México/Los Ángeles) de la Universidad del Sur de California, el Instituto Nacional de Psiquiatría Ramón de la Fuente Muñiz “Disparaties in health between floting inmmigrant”, que busca determinar los patrones de consumo de drogas ilícitas y alcohol, riesgos y efectos nocivos para la salud de la población inmigrante retornada.
This work is a qualitative study that describes the history and trajectory of three return migrants deported to Mexico City. Their daily practices and life path are analyzed at different times in their migratory history: before migrating, during their life in the United States, and upon returning to Mexico. In Mexico City, in recent years the number of government flights from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE) has increased (Olivo, 2017). Many of these returned immigrants are destined for CDMX (Lakhani, 2017). The work is part of a larger binational study (Mexico City/Los Angeles) of the University of Southern California, the Ramón de la Fuente Muñiz National Institute of Psychiatry “Disparaties in health among floating immigrants”, which seeks to determine the patterns of illicit drug and alcohol consumption, risks and harmful effects on the health of the returned immigrant population.
